02 Oct 03 - 10:08 PM (#1028469) Subject: BS: Heroic Work Pays Off From: hesperis Well, yesterday I finished work on How to Be a Hero, my first major website design customer. There's still some things to fix and some things to do, but it's a job well done. It's great to have something out there of this scale that proves that even though I'm sick a lot, I can still work when it's on my own terms. The site is for a project based on the Quest for Glory computer game series and involves a writer who is collaborating with the original designer of that series. This thing is going to be HUGE. The main part of the site is a test that determines which heroic type you are. I'm a Paladin, with Wizard a close second. Rogue (8) Warrior (5) Wizard (16) Paladin (18) "My Inner Hero - Paladin! I strive to help others, and to bring truth and harmony to the world however I can. Whether times are good or bad, you can always count on me. I'm a shoulder to cry on, a champion for the helpless, and an all around nice person." What do you get? |

Otherwise, it looks good, though I thought the listings at the top of the page were links, too. How do I find out what I am?**bg** Thanks and congratulations! kat |

Click here to find your own inner hero. :0) Very nice! Excuse me, I'm off to Fix Something... |

03 Oct 03 - 09:18 AM (#1028755) Subject: RE: BS: Heroic Work Pays Off From: sian, west wales I'm a Wizard but only a point between that and Paladin. We definitely need more Rogues and Warriors. (Who'd of thought that Mudcat was short on Rogues? Go figure.) I have to go and Discover something. Something = anything, apparently. I was thinking a recipe for chocolate pecan pie, but I think it's been done. Maybe a chocolate pecan praline cream pie ... would that count as a discovery? sian (thinking what to serve for Canadian thanksgiving in a week and a bit) |

03 Oct 03 - 09:19 AM (#1028758) Subject: RE: BS: Heroic Work Pays Off From: GUEST,MMario my thought too - wanderer.... I'm definately a rogue Rogue (19) Warrior (9) Wizard (7) Paladin (8) I need to hook up with a Paladin and a Wizard according to the site. But first I need to Get Away With Something... It's a good thing I use my powers for good and not evil, because quite frankly, I could get away with murder. I'm clever, tricky, and charming. I know how to make you laugh with one hand and pick your pocket with the other. Not that I'd ever DO that, of course... |

03 Oct 03 - 11:00 AM (#1028862) Subject: RE: BS: Heroic Work Pays Off From: katlaughing Hmmm, well, don't choose "litigate" 'cause it happened again when I did! Anyway, skewing it to suit my fancy, I wound up being a Wizard, so watch out! I'll wave my magic wand and turn you all into toads! Oh, wait, there's more of us? Oops, which one of us is on Magic Wand Duty, today? Rogue (2) Warrior (10) Wizard (25) Paladin (15) That was fun, sirepseh, thanks. Just a couple of suggestions: the drop down menu items when filling in the membership info are a bit difficult to read with the green on black. Also, on the test itself, I would have preferred more WOMEN to choose from as most admired fictional character and other characters as choices for some of the other questions. All in all, though, good job! |

03 Oct 03 - 01:12 PM (#1028975) Subject: RE: BS: Heroic Work Pays Off From: hesperis Glad you're all having fun! *big grin* Kat - that text will eventually be links, and I'll fiddle a bit more with the stylesheet for the drop-downs. MMario - Yay! Another Rogue I actually like! Minstrel - perhaps, however it's the best way of getting signups ever invented, and you don't have to receive news if you don't want to. So, it works. |

06 Oct 03 - 07:58 AM (#1030402) Subject: RE: BS: Heroic Work Pays Off From: JennyO When I filled in the details to register, I tried to get my results. I tried logging in. All I get no matter what I do is messages saying either "incorrect login" or "sorry no membership details were found" I've gone through the whole process twice now and I seem to get stuck in a loop. Also, I can't get back to Mudcat with the back button. I have to close the site and log onto Mudcat again. What am I doing wrong? |
