02 Sep 98 - 12:25 PM (#36809) Subject: RE: HELP: Problem with thread From: Dale Rose It does not give me an IO, but it does keep me from scrolling to the bottom of the page~~in Netscape Communicator. There are certain html mistakes which can cause this to happen. (I know, I made one of them before) I think it involved leaving one of the quote marks out of a link, but there may be other ways as well. Mistakes like this are fixable, and I am sure someone will be on the job to do it later. |

02 Sep 98 - 03:45 PM (#36824) Subject: RE: HELP: Problem with thread From: Joe Offer Hi, guys. It was one extraneous quote mark within a link. I deleted it, and everything runs fine, with both MSIE and Netscape. I prefer not to use quotes within links - it appears that they're optional. Anybody know when quote marks MUST be used within links? Even mailto: links for e-mail addresses work without quotes, as in [a href=mailto:joe-offer@msn.com]joe-offer@msn.com[/a] Now, if I did it right, I should be able to substitute angle brackets for the square ones in the example, and it should work. joe-offer@msn.com |

03 Sep 98 - 08:23 AM (#36897) Subject: RE: HELP: Problem with thread From: AndreasW As far as I know you can leave out the quotation marks if the URL does not contain any blanks, quotation marks, angle brackets, ampersands, percent signs, semicolons There might be some more characters not allowed.
