I'm off to Japan for the Street Performance World cup in Shizouaka. I'm there 28th Oct to 5th November and would love to meet fellow musos.

Sorry, Larkin, I can't go to Shizuoka (which, I believe, is the place), but you'll make friends with a lot of Japanese non-Catters. Good luck!

I know KeithKendrick had contact with some Japanese Catters when he went out to work for Disney last year

Teru and Takeo come to mind, but I have not seen either around Mudcat lately. Both would be worthwhile to meet, I am sure. Teru was quite interested in Celtic music, and Takeo enjoyed Old Time Country music. (Though I am sure both had other interests as well.)

Thanks Masato. I'm so excited about seeing your country.

If you are in Tokyo, there is a Welsh bar in Takodanobaba district which has folk and acoustic music most nights.
