16 Oct 03 - 12:56 PM (#1036880) Subject: VISITING OZ IN FEB 04 - CLUBS/FESTIVALS? From: Moses I'm planning a visit to Sydney in February 04. Hope to visit local clubs and / or festivals. Don't have much time there (2 - 3 weeks) but would appreciate any helpful suggestions as to what to visit (or, perhaps as importantly, what not to visit). I can PM you details if you like. Other things I can think of in Sydney would be Almost Acoustic on probably the second Saturday and the Loaded Dog on the 4th Saturday. There's Hornsby Folk Club on the 3rd Friday, and the Dang Lyn Moon Folk Club on the 1st Friday I think. There is also a festival at Cobargo on the 4th weekend (about 4 hours drive). In addition to that, there are often sessions at people's places in Friday nights, and a session at the Riverview, a pub in Balmain, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. I'll probably think of more later and I'll put some links in when I have more time, if nobody else has. Right now I have to go and pack for a festival this weekend. Jenny |
