Great night at The grove, UK

After all the recent comment about the Grove folk club in Leeds I'd just like to say that I had a greatly enjoyable night there last Friday. Very good floorsingers, a receptive audience, and a warm welcome from the organisers. Danny & Joyce McLeod, and Dave & Anni Webber dropped in, which was a real bonus. An excellent club, I really enjoyed it. Burl.

Do you get out much Burl?

joke!

I thought it was Dave Webber and Anni Fentiman, they played us the previous Friday in st Albans, this week its George Papavgeris, only 180 miles south for another promising evening!

This is not designed as a wind up for certain parties is it? Or am I being a cynic

Whether it is, or whether it isn't - glad to hear that another good night was had at the Grove, and hope to partake of one of them soon myself.

I really wanted to go and see Roy, but we had Chris Foster playing in my hometown of Harrogate. Two great singers of English song playing locally, and it has to be on the same damn night! Burl, how about a 71st birthday tour?

Don't know if they are (not that it matters), but we always refer to them by their separate surnames at herga

Of course marriage doesn't automatocally change the woman's surname it's purely a (frequently used) convention NOT a legal requirement. My wife was very happy with her own name and has kept using it since we wed.

Saves all that bother of changing bank accounts, passports and credit cards etc.
