BS: Magic sleigh ride in UK shops

When I was a child my parents took me each year to Gamages in London to see Father Christmas. There was a magic sleigh ride which entailed entering through one door and exiting through another after a bumpy ride which meant you didn't notice the curtain being drawn across the first door and when you got out you were in the North Pole. I was really pleased to discover a similar ride in the Coop York a few years a go when taking my older children to see FC but it has closed down. Does anyone know if any of these rides are still in existence? It was so magical I would be willing to do an hours drive just to let the little ones experience it.

Thanks for the clicky, but we already know Sundown Adventure Park and the Santa ride there. Last time I was there (with the twins on a trip out from Nursery earlier this year) I couldn't get them to go anywhere except on the swings and roundabouts.
The ride which used to be at the York C0-OP shop was a slightly different kind of thing, taking you for a sleigh ride to the north pole then dropping you off to walk through Santa's Grotto. Jane ercently had a conversation with someone who said they knew where a similar one still runs, but cannot recall who or where.
We are fishing to see if it was a Mudcatter!
Quack!
Geoff.

Mrs Duck - I'm surprised that you're old enough to remember Gamages - a departmental store in High Holborn which closed down many years ago. I also used to get taken up to see Father Christmas there. I seem to remember that they used the same basic ride system every year, but "dressed it up" differently - I can remember a spaceship theme one Christmas.

We had an account there so most of our shopping was done there. Never saw you as I sat on Santas knee though Dave! Still no clues as to where there is such a ride now though. Maybe it was one of the globe trotting Shellbacks that told me they knew one.

You wouldn't have recognised me - not with the hood and big white beard - whoops, I forgot I've got a real one now. How could I forget a nice soft cuddly behind like your's.
