If you are I'm sad to say Jim passed on in late 96. The group did record one self titled album with CBC Halifax,Nova Scotia. The remaining four members of the group have been active but it has been off and on. Watch the program for Lunenburg 2004 when they start to post. I hear the lads may try and get a slot. Jim Pittman died of cancer in December of 1996. He played vocals, harmonica, & spoons in the band Starb'ard Side. He comes from Newfoundland, and so does the band name. Jim Pittman was an amazing person, for I have had the time to get to know him. He was also knows as the Singing Cook. Jim is missed very much now, & will be forever, for his legacey will live on. Rest in peace & if I may quote him..."May your cod end always be full". |

Greg Simm is the well-known (in NS, anyway) guitar player. Am racking aging brain for name of the composer, most well known of the group. The fiddler, Colin Cameron, my very good friend, is also a stained glass artist (Cailean's Glassworks), and has mostly done that over the years. But he can still fiddle up a storm! |
