Hi Everyone.

Im looking for a particular Anthony J song. Im not sure about the title, but its a song about becoming your own Grandad & its absolutly hilarious. If you've heard it before, you'll know what i mean, if you haven't, make a point of going to see Anthony & listen to it. It'll have you in knots for ages trying to figure it out.

I hope someone can help!

I think it's a Shel Silverstein song, however Anthony does have his own web-site that contains lyrics, just put anthony john clarke in your search engine

Cheers

A further correction:

Lonzo and Oscar, whose real names were Lloyd George and Rollin Sullivan, recorded a hit version of "I'm My Own Grandpa[w]" in 1947, but they didn't write it. It was written by Moe Jaffe and Dwight Latham. They allegedly got the idea from a "Mark Twain anecdote" – but the anecdote hasn't been traced to my satisfaction.

See I'M MY OWN GRANDPA in DigiTrad. From there, you can follow links to other threads with more discussion.
