Anyone seen her play in or around Hull?

I have her album and its superb but I can never seem to make it to see her live.

I would recommend the album to anyone as it is just so good

adam,
you need to get out more, miss rugg plays all over the city! last time we heard her was at tap and spile a few months ago. i'd be interested to learn how she's getting on, because she seemed determined to make a go of it.would be nice if at least ONE person from hull became a success.

We played with her a few months ago at the Lamp, it was the launch of her new CD, she was very good, having spent many months busking in Hepworths arcade practicing. She often plays a Wednesday night at Masons Cafe near Waterfront

Hey el ted loads of people from hull have made successes of their musical careers. There's them their House Martins wot became the Beautiful South, that their geetarist wot played in the spiders frae Mars, Everything but the girl, Watersons (I think they originated here) and loads more. BUT you are right I've heard Emma and she is darn good.

paul heaton comes from sheffield, i believe.

even emma, i believe was born in york.
mick ronno was a proper hull lad though, and kicked arse!! when i was a lad i used to work and work out his guitar parts on dame bowie records.
                         the true path!

Personally I prefer Norman Collier, even when his microphone's not working properly. Emma's o/k but she need's to get her head shaved like them loverly harriWatts youngsters and tell some high class jokes as well. She should swear more like Foxy and King Rat and pick her nose in the Cowfish manner, if she wants to be a real working class hero. Oh, and she shouldn't shave under her arms like Ted 6El9's Queens of Seville, 6They're in his dreams Penny!9.

Finally I wish her the best of luck such that one day she might get her chance at the Spring Bank Tavern hotspot. She deserves the opportunity, and yes she is from York, a totally different league of gentlemen.

Wasn't Emma Rugg one of those leather clad mini-skirted dolly birds in the Avengers in the 1960's?
