It is a SupraLux PRO248, and I have nothing but rave reviews for it personally... My voice projects very well (aka -- TURN DOWN THE MIC! YOU'RE MAKIN' ME EARS BLEED!), mostly in a low to mid range. My bandmade has a mid-range voice, hitting higher notes on occasion, and it seems to suit him well... Has anyone else had experience with this mic over a longer term? how does it hold up? comments also welcome on the Shures, AudioTechnica's, and other popular mics out there.. Brian from Toulouse Cruise (yes, it can be pronounced Two Loose Screws) |

They were great for making accoustic instruments sound...well, accoustic, which seems to be something a lot of festival sound guys just can't do. If the mic you tyried is as good as that5, they'd be well worth trying. |

I don't have experience with the others mentioned above. Peace moo |

Like yours, Richard, this one is about a third of the price of a Shure... hoping it will last a while! Brian |
