Revels is taking place. This is a fantastic show celebrating the Winter Solstice. This years theme is the Elizabethian time period and features the brillaint Geoff Hoyle (clowned in Cirque du Soleil and has been in the Broadways production of The Lion King) as Will Kempe (an actor that Shakespeare wrote his fool parts for). The 25th Annual Christmas Revels It is late December 1906, and emigrants from all across the British Isles have gathered in Queenstown, Ireland to embark on their journey to a new life in the United States. A winter storm delays their departure, so the voyagers find themselves spending Christmas together at the dockside. As the Irish Harbourmaster hosts the holiday celebration, all the travelers, Irish, English, Scottish and Welsh, share their Solstice customs and traditions. It becomes clear that their songs, dances, stories and playlets are the most valuable possessions they will take with them to the new world.
