Frank Hamilton and Pete Seeger

A tip of the hat to that fine Mudcatter Frank Hamilton. Just picked up a really good British compilation of Pete Seeger (Hard Travelling, Music Club, MCCD 462) which includes three of the songs with Frank from their album "Nonesuch and Other Folk Tunes" (1959) that I have never heard. These are so great. "Pygmy Tune" (we have threaded this one before), "Chaconne" (Yellow Bird)" and "Meadowland". The whole album is great --- obviously the work of John Crosby who wrote the liner notes -- some of the lesser known, and the best known together. The Hamilton/Seeger ones are so great (did I say that already?)

yours,

Peter T.

Peter,

Thank you so very much! It is so nice for you to say so. Warms my heart. It was an honor to play with Pete. He is such a brillian musician.   He is also a great improviser and we've had wonderful times together.

Leo Kottke mentioned our album as an influence on him.
I'm grateful that people are able to hear what we did.

Thanks so much again.

Frank
