From: open mike i finally for the first time went to the link which I see by all those song files that have the strings of red letters. The place that is supposed to tell you what it all means and how to read it seems not to be there any longer...anyone know about this? |

From: Joe Offer Alan Foster created MIDItext because at the time, we didn't have a place to store MIDI files online at Mudcat. Nowadays, if you send MIDIs to MMario or me, we post them. MIDItext is a nifty little program. It takes a bit to learn it, but I have my computer set up so I can convert MIDI to text and back again in maybe 30 seconds. As I come across them, I've been converting the MIDItext code to MIDIs, and posting them in the Mudcat MIDI section. Yes, I know I can search for them and find them more efficiently, but that would give me a whole lot of work, all at once. If I dawdle, maybe MMario will do it before I get to it. -Joe Offer- joe@mudcat.org |
