KurdistanWords and Music by Pete MortonKurdistan, Kurdistan Let me tell you about Disneyland We're the countries free to choose We decide if you win or lose. We decide what's right when the dealing's done If it's worth our while when the money's owed Besides, Jesus came and he took our sins To keep our cars upon the road Kurdistan, Kurdistan We drew a line in the desert sand We never came to your defense 'Cause Saddam was not a bad man then We sold him guns and we sold him tanks 'Cause our lives are worth their weight in gold Besides, Jesus came and he took our sins To keep our cars upon the road Kurdistan, Kurdistan I was going to tell you about Disneyland But it's too late now. You're dead and you're bust You've been smashed, you've been gased by the chemical dust We'd have liked to have helped but we're all messed up But this is a world that's bought and sold Besides, Jesus came and he took our sins To keep our cars upon the road |

He has a new song which will be on his next cd, about tw brothers where he imagines Israel and Palestine as two little boys fighting- it is wonderful. The cd is a long time coming but am sure it will be worth it. |

"Listening to the Sound of my Boots" is another great song too. It's on the same theme as "Hunting the Heart", only with a driving rhythm. Pete was joking, "I got it down to six verses this time!" |
