16 Dec 03 - 06:21 AM (#1073375) Subject: White Horse, Hertford 21st December From: IanC The next 3rd Sunday Session at "The White Horse", Castle Street, Hertford is on Sunday 21st December, starting at about 1:30pm. Anything you like is on the menu ... carols and seasonal songs? I won't be there, as I'm needed elsewhere. :-( Ian |

21 Dec 03 - 03:47 PM (#1077370) Subject: RE: White Horse, Hertford 21st December From: Hamish Well - what a session. The place was on fire when we finished! Unfortunately, it was literally on fire as opposed to metaphorically. The fire brigade in full attendance, ripping out the fireplace and fittings half way up the chimney. I guess what with it being an old place with timber frame it's kinda serious having a chimney fire. We'd thought it was a bit smokey up there, too... ...pity, it was a good sesh. Only a few of us, but good fun. |

I got a vague story from Alan ... why am I never there when all the exciting things are happening? Pretty hot session, huh? I'm still on my death-bed at the moment (well, actually, recovering slowly but I don't think anyone would have wanted to see me there). Alan mentioned that Jacqui's not so well, which is why she didn't make it yesterday. I'll be there next month ... if there's still a pub to play in, that is. ;-) |

I'm just recovering from a major operation - undertaken as an emergency with three day's notice and am staying with my daughter in Newark unitl I'm fit to look after myself. I really have missed the various sessions and am very disappointed not to have been in Hertford this week but things weren't meant to turn out that way. Waht laid you out? I'm hoping to be back for the next session but it all depends on the rate of recovery. I've brought a lot of CDs up with me to trawl for new songs when I feel a bit brighter and the guitar's here as well to try and get back to practice, although I don't know that I'll ever be happy about using it publicly. Anyway, have a good Christmas everyone and all the best for the New Year. |

Hope you're recovering well, and love from Alan and May as well. :-) Ian |
