Why has the Californian court given an alleged child abuser special dispensation and his passport back to go off trying to flog his rehashed greatest hits album to an idiotic British public? Thanks but we don't want him, we have our own pop paedophiles in Gary Glitter and Jonathon King. Even John Prescott cannot believe they're letting the little bugger out of America! Aren't they concerned that this multi-millionaire might just use his dollars to abscond to anywhere in the world he desires; he could even visit Gary Glitter in Cambodia. Oh well wishful thinking. Is this policy going to be extended to all suspected criminals in America or just those who have an CD, film or book to promote? Can you do a Jeffrey Archer and write a book about your time inside, be it only 1 day, and get out on a technicality? Has the whole of California gone mad because the evidence is mounting up? I was making a point (clearly too subtly for you) that a large number of contributors to the 'Capital Punishment' thread appear to have been motivated by a compassion for the convicted which doesn't appear to have been mirrored in their pre-judgment of Jackson. The language used in this thread towards Jackson is savage and clearly assumes his guilt, and that is my objection. There seems to be great hypocrisy operating here, when individuals claim to be paragons of compassion (as in the 'Capital Punishment' thread) yet viciously condemn out of hand someone who, as yet, has not been convicted of anything. For the record I strongly suspect he's guilty as charged, however I prefer to wait for the court's decision before I slag the guy off. Peace Brothers JB :-) |

Britain has an extradition agreement with the USA. He can hardly hide from anyone for long, being so famous and unique an individual. He's a media extravaganza for gossipy minds to fixate upon, and a personal tragedy of epic proportions. He's also a handy distraction to redirect people's attention from stuff that actually matters...like the wrongdoings of people in high places who do really big things like invading other countries just because they want to. Of course, it all depends what pushes your buttons, doesn't it? MJ revelations just don't fire my imagination. |
