23 Dec 03 - 07:32 AM (#1078346) Subject: Boxing Day @ Stansted, Kent, UK From: Dave Bryant If you're wondering what to do on Boxing Day evening, and live in reach of Wrotham Hill, Kent, then why not pop along to The Black Horse, Stanstead, Kent. We're planning to have a very laid-back song/music session, from about 8.30pm onwards. If you're worried about getting home afterwards, Ian the landlord is willing to provide indoor camping facilities - ie bring a sleeping bag and crash down somewhere - probably in the bar ! There's a choice of good ales and excellent draught cider available, and it's a comfortable, friendly pub. Hope to see some of you down there. If you get there before us - just start the session yourselves, no need to wait. |

(is that good english?). Now we're living down at the other end of the county, we miss our annual Boxing Day walk down to Stansted to watch Hartley Morris. A very happy Christmas to you all, and a truly peaceful new year. |

24 Dec 03 - 09:57 PM (#1079502) Subject: RE: Boxing Day @ Stansted, Kent, UK From: Richard Bridge Hi Dave I'm (probably) not going to be able to make it: it's a complicated story involving daughters, mothers-in-law (well, just one of each actually) and family boxing day arrangements. But if all else cancels and I'm sober enough to drive, the temptation is strong. But also Val and Pete and Gundulf Morris are threatening the White Horse (Upper Stoke), which is walkable. |
