From: catspaw49 Having been around here for over 5 years with over 19,000 posts, I can safely say that the 'Cat has two states of being.......It's either totally focked up or it's not and about the same amount of people complain in both cases for some reason.......... 28 Dec 03 - 08:44 AM (#1080881) Subject: RE: welcome back, mud cats! i missed you! From: artbrooks Freda: welcome to the 'Cat. In case you haven't picked up on it...and it really isn't blazoned in big red letters anywhere...Mudcat is a labor of love by one individual (Max) who owns and operates the equipment upon which the system lives. If the system goes down, as such things are prone to do, he is the one that has to get it up and running again. If he is away at his day job or spending some time with his wife and lovely new daughter, it can be some time before he finds about it and can get to it. We have learned to cope, and there are some coping mechanisms here at Mudcat Help. This site lives on a different computer (also owned by Max), and only rarely do both go down at once. |
