BS: Anonymous GUEST thread.

This thread is for GUESTS who are tired and weary of abuse. This is your very own thread. It is the brainchild of an unsung genius who couldn't figure out how to reset his cookie a few days back, and he had to post under your name. This is my way of saying "Thanks." I will stop in from time to time, but I may have to post under my real name--now that the cookie is reset, I ain't messin' with it no more. Before you take my grammar or spelling to task, I do that because I like to. I am aware the the double negative went out with Shakespeare, but he was English and really understood little about the way Albertans use the language. Trust me, when a two-hundred and fifty pound POd guy says he don't want no effin' potatoes, ya don't give him any. This is my New Year's gift to you (all 27 of youse).

Sorry for the indiscretion of not obliterating my cookie first, Brucie, but I've got to challenge you to say what's wrong with the humble spud. An essential part of any balanced diet, surely, and hardly a major source of useless calories?

What's wrong with the spud? People eat far too much of them, that's what. Rice is a better way of getting starch. This is confirmed by the fact that the Japanese diet has proven the most healthful on Earth.

Sorry. I forgot to log out too.

What a place! Give GUESTs their very own thread and the first five posts are all by regular members. Buncha damned contraries.

You're not gonna fool me with that old trick an eighth time.

Since the aim of these kinds of GUESTS seems primarily to be getting up people's noses, it seems pretty clear that they won't be likely to come anywhere where they are invited.

I do rather love the spuds! 'tater salad and fries (if they're prepared well) are two of the best side dishes out there! Then there's mashed 'taters. So much you can do with the spuds. The sweet taters as well! George Washington Carver discovered over 100 things to do with the sweet 'taters!

Having muttered often enough about anonymous postings I am not going to drop my cookie just for the hell of it. Not even to wind up a transponder.

My Father used potatoes as corks in jugs when he made homemade wine. Worked just fine.

See 'em used in schools to make impression thingies. Carve the potato and dip it in paint. Then, 'impress' it on some paper.

Mr Potato Head is one of the all time great toys for kids.

Some political figures use the potato instead of brains--works real good, too.

Then there is the old saying: The eyes of 'taters are upon you.

As an anonymous guest, I am thankful to brucie for this thread! I have ever desired a thread made for someone like me & he has created it! What a guy!

Oh, lest any be confused... I did not want to be "just another anonymous guest" so I became a member with the name of "khandu" to throw the less perceptive off!

Of course, some of you saw right through my ruse, but many did not! So I have managed somewhat to retain my anonymity by posting in the guise of "Member-khandu!

Nonetheless, I am delighted to have this thread!

That ain't the half of it. Every time I try buyin' a nice buncha panfried potatoes for a good-lookin' dame she accuses me of givin' her the eye...I buy her toast, she says I'm tryin' ta butter her up. Gallantry just ain't appreciated around here no more.

Ah, the deviousnessedness of GUEST posters. Notice how adroitly khandu assumes the guise of GUEST while telling the reader that he is indeed who he says he is. BUT, we are too clever for that. The GUEST posing as khandu who says he's khandu is actually--yes, you GUESSed it, khandu. (I am sober and straight. The 1960s just caught up with me all at once.) An act of sheer genius.
