All you UK Folkies who have been around since the 60's will most likely remember Ian Gartside from The Wayfarers or one of the many other bands he's been a member of over the last 40+ years or he may have taught you?.

Well you may be surprised to find out that he reached 60 last year and although a party was planned it never came about due to bookings etc...

So here it is Ian's 60th (.5) Birthday Bash - everyone is invited friends old and new, musical and not musical to come along to:-

Wardleys Hotel
Wardleys Lane
Hambleton
Poulton-Le-Fylde
Lancashire
England

on Saturday 7th February 2004 from 8pm - for a drink and a bit of nostalgia - and a lot of singing!! So if you Play and Sing bring Instruments and Voices and it should be a good old time (shades of The Cartford!!!)

Post to the thread if you require any more information.......

Information on the venue and Map

Ian's Current Bands:-

The Ian Gartside Band

The Elderly Brothers

Willy & The Poorboys

Yup Trev the Mandolin is hoping to be there - but he's been poorly of late with them old legs of his!

the clouds are gathering - with names like "Spook" & "Jack Owen" being uttered in darkened corners - it might even mean the first re-line-up of The Wayfarers since the early 70's!!!! Even Amazing Dick's bringing his drums........

40 years in the making - should be a good reunion as well!

Happy Burfday Ian..................
