I have searched everywhere for the chords to this song 'The closest thing to crazy' by Katie Melua. I'm sure it starts in the chord of E followed be an A and D. Can anyone help me?

You need your capo in II for this; this makes the chords so much simpler! The time
signature shanges quite a lot.

Intro:

D / A / | D/F# / / / | G / / / | D/A / A A7|

Verse:

D   A/E                      D/F#
How can I think I'm standing strong
    G                      D
Yet feel the air beneath my feet
Bm                A       G
How can happiness feel so wrong
F#m            A7      D
How can misery feel so sweet
D   A/E                      D/F#
How can you let me watch you sleep
    G                   D
Then break my dreams the way you do
Bm                A    G
How can I have got in so deep
F#m               A7       D
Why did I fall in love with you

Chorus:
A7
This is the
D                            Bm
Closest thing to crazy I have ever been
       Em7       D/A
Feeling 22, acting 17
A
This is the
D                            Bm
Nearest thing to crazy I have ever known
      Em7         Gm
I was never crazy on my own
D         Bm                  G                Bb
And now I know that there's a link between the two
D             Bm            A7             D
Being close to craziness and being close to you

A/E / D/F# | / / | Gm / / / | D / / / |

Repeat verse and chorus in same way

Verse 2 lyrics:

How can you let me fall apart
Then break my fall with loving lies
It's so easy to break a heart
It's so easy to close your eyes
How can you treat me like a child
Yet like a child I yearn for you
How could anyone be so wild
How could anyone be so blue

After Chorus 2, instead of the between chorus and verse sequence:

Bm / G | Am4 / D / | D / Bm / | A7 / D / | Bm / G | Am4 / D / |
