We usually go to the annual jazz and fireworks at the National Trust's Basildon Park in Berkshire. This year they've added a folk concert with Boys of the Lough, Gordon Giltrap and Little Johnny England. Full details at: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/basildonpark
One tip. Tie a balloon or something to your car or you''ll bever find it again in the dark. "It was two rows from a tree." "Yes but which tree!"

'Full details' being up to the Trust's usual standards of living in the past then!

Roger

Give us a clue, then - when in June is it? Greenjack has a point - the site hasn't been updated with this year's programme of events...

Yeah!
I've just sent them an e-mail complaining about the out of date site.
The folk concert is on Saturday 19th June (no time given but gates usually open just after house closes) and tickets are £18.50 adults, £12 for accompnaied child plus £1 fee per booking BUT if you book before April 1st you get £1 off per ticket. Box office phone numbeer for details is 01494 755572. Quote code E32.
Jazz concert is the following night. June concerts have laser light show at end, August ones have fireworks (unless there's a drought & fire risk).

Not only is the Basildon Park NT site out of date but the message I sent to their "contact us" clickie was returned "undeliverable" - and I didn't swear, honest!
