Lyr Req: Xmas Song - Chariots of Gold ?

Hello Friends,

During the past Christmas season I was listening to the radio and heard what at first seemed to be a traditional English Christmas song.
I believe it was called "Chariots of Gold".

All I remember of the chorus -
the Cherubim on chariots of gold,
Seraphim singing . . .
calling for the Prince of Peace.

The tune seemed very traditional, but the lyrics indicated the song is fairly new and dealt with social issues. One of the verses made the statement something to the effect,
"No more the jackboots will march in the streets . . ."

Does anyone have the lyrics, where I could find them? Who recorded it, name of the recording and where it could be found? I found the song uplifting.

Many thanks.

for music that never dies,

Len Wallace

Words are available on the Golden Hind website.

Can you say "alliterative"?

It's a wonderful, joyous song! I love how John, Tony, Fred and Andy do it in Nowell Sing We Clear.

Oops, foiled in my link by the Golden Hind's site's frames. To find the words to the song, click on "Products", scroll down to Nowell Sing We Clear's Just Say Noel, click on "View detailed information", then click on the song title.
