Howden Jones have got a new live CD coming out on February 14th featuring a full band (bass, fiddle and drums as well as the guitar duo).

The CD 'Beautiful Again' was recorded live at Glasson Dock Village Hall at the end of November by Big Sky Records in front of an enthusiastic audience.

The launch gig is at 'The Platform' in Morecambe (Platform Box office 01524-582803 tickets are £6.00/£4.00).

I know this is a shameless plug, but I'm a 'Catter and I'm on the disc (fiddle) so I hope you'll forgive me taking the liberty. More details are on the website at www.howdenjones.co.uk

Cheers
Sarah

Howden Jones are brilliant. Go see 'em.

First saw them at Cleckheaton Festival and bought all three of their CDs on the spot. I believe Tony is no longer in the line up but I am sure he will reappear somewhere on the scene.

All the best

PS - Anyone in the Lancaster/Morecambe area might want to take a look at the Julie Ellison gigs posted on another thread (three happening this weekend).

I used to mend dry stone walls with Tony in the mid 1980's.
I well recall the Mattock throwing contest in Black Carr Woods....
Quack!

Dave,

Tony has some very fine songs and an excellent voice and I would love to see him solo.

Let us know the where and when.

Cheers
