An Evening of Poetry is being held tonight, Thursday, Februray 5 at 8pm at The White Horse (Nellies), Hengate, Beverley. Tickets cost £3/2 on the door. You may have heard Pocklington-based poet Nigel Forde`s voice in others` clothes on Radio 4`s Book at Bedtime and Bookshelf. In this WordQuake event he will be applying his wonderful voice to his own words as he reads from his new collection A Map of the Territory. He will be reading alongside Beverley-based poet Nigel Walker, whose work moves from warm portraits of domestic life to the strangeness of the East Riding landscape and coast. |
