Subject: Help i need lyrics for calypso or soca songs

i need the lyrics for an english paper i have to write. i am from the bahamas and stuying in kentucky so i can't get to any books or stores containing these type of songs. i need these before nov 13, 1998 but if any body can e-mail them to me anytime that would be great.

Hi, do you mean soccer as in association football? If so can you be a bit more specific about what type of song you are after? Most major clubs have a song particularly associated with them (not normally folk songs as we would define them) but the Spinners did describe Anfield as the biggest folk club in the world.

There is a large Caribbean component to the population of Toronto, Canada. A festival is held each year.

people are Black Caribs descended from passengers who escaped
a slave ship which went aground, and the local native Carib
and Awarak people form the Island where the ship was wrecked.
Many re-settled central america and they have a style of music which blends
african, hispanic and caribbean influences, yet has its own distinctive
cultural significance.
