On Sunday 15th February, the Cuddly One and the Short'n Hairy Busker (otherwise known as The Bub And The Taff) will be putting the fear of God into unsuspecting music lovers at the "Folk On The Moor" club, Moorland Hotel, Wotter, Devon, UK.

Come and have your taste destroyed.

What shame I will be at The Spotlight Club in St Albans on that night, other wise I would come down.

Anyone local to this should not miss this gig - George is a bright star in our midst, well worth listening to - superb singer song-writer - wonderful songs!

Not sure how to describe Breezy though.... Entertaining? Definitely!!

We've been billed as "the proof that eccentricity and talent are alive and well in the world of folk". I will leave you to draw your own conclusions.

But watch out for my new T-shirt...

It's all happening on Sunday - Hertford, St Albans, Devon - I personally will be at the Fenn Bell Session as it only happens from time to time.

- It's quite fun posting my own advertising on an Al Greko / Breezy thread !

I can cancel that Sunday 9th May at the 'Spotlight' Folk club Brit legion St Albans if you like!!!

That's when Dave Bryant may appear in his own rite

His only advertised scheduled gig this millenium.

Will he attract a big crowd.?

Tonight Heraud and Turner at St Stephens Ch Hall, Watling Street St Albans

"the proof that eccentricity and talent are alive and well in the world of folk"

Who said that then? Could refer to just anybody round here.

I think The Ref put his finger on it when he described our dynamic duo as "UnHinged & Borasic". Certainly summed it up for me.

Dave - Nice move. I await the great "thread hijack war" in eager anticipation of hours of manic amusement.

Would have been there if I wasn't 12,000 miles away. You can be promised a cracking evening - great songs delivered in inimitable fashion.

Have a bril time Guys.

Yep, we did - just got back. The choreography went fine (walking on and off singing at the start and end of each set), neither of us forgot any worms, the 12-string stayed in tune (mostly), Breezy was at his best behaviour (disappointing really!), and I even got a few titters from the message at the back of my T-shirt. Everyobody stayed till the end (no locked doors), and they joined in all the choruses. The Singing Ref was there with Anne, and he did a very nice 2-song spot (Looking Like Early Snow & Where Ravens Feed), all the floorspots were very good. Juliette was there too, with her guy (whose name I just fogot again, colander-brain me!), they stayed at the hotel for the weekend, combining pleasure (weekend away) with delight (listening to us! He!).
We got lots of praise and thank-yous at the end, and I sold 7 CDs (5 on the night and 2 the next morning to my hosts).
Bill and Graham, the organisers, made "we want to book you again" noises also, which is encouraging.
Here's to the next one, this Friday at Seaford...I will start another thread

Delighted all went well and that Breezy behaved himself. Perhaps he was feeling a bit under the weather.

I didn't like to comment on your T shirt last Thursday. I thought it might be in rather bad taste as it was the day the National Gallery announced it had just shelled out £35 million for an Italian painting.

On the subject of recovering lost marbles, Breezy comes a long way behind Melina Mercouri when it comes to hijacks. Next time we meet I 'll have to tell you about the time she, and half the world's press, "unexpectedly" turned up for a photo opportunity in the middle of a 'premiere' at the Herodes Atticus theatre on the side of the Acropolis.

It was a peculiarly Greek half hour of glorious and hilarious chaos, but she made her point superbly, very publicly, and in the company of some athletic men wearing little more than a few feathers. The woman had some style.
