Folk Music in the state of Delaware ?

I have recently made an e-friend in the State of Delaware. He loves the sound of folk clubs and folk music sessions in the UK, and bemoans the "fact" that there are none near where he lives. Can anyone help me prove him wrong?

There's a wonderful old-time concert next Friday night (Feb. 27) in Newark, Delaware. Benton Flippen and the Smoky Valley Boys are coming up from North Carolina. Some folks who will be there are also involved in some of the folk clubs already mentioned (Turtledove, Arden, West Chester) so tell your e-friend to please come and meet 'em. Have him check out the Brandywine Friends of Old Time Music web site mentioned above and get the details and directions.

Also, Delaware is quite close to Philadelphia, home of the Philadelphia Folksong Society, who put on the Philadelphia Folk Festival each August, as well as a bunch of other events all year long.
