McGrath - Missing since the 11th

McGrath of Harlow - Kevin McGrath has not posted since the 11th.

Is he OK, is he alive, is it merely a computer failure ?

Perchance any 'Catter knows the situation ? Does any 'Catter now his home numbers and can verify if there is a problem or not.

A concerned Gareth

Thanks Guest. Actually I have Kevins E-Mail. Unfortunatly if he is not at his number cruncher it may not be the most appropriate means of contact.

That is why I asked if any contacts of Kevin had any info.

Gareth

I haven't seen Kevin for a few months, but Simon Vogel (harlowpoet) may well have seen him fairly recently.

Hope he's OK!, and I suspect he is. Maybe his dad's not too good.

:-)

Maybe he's here and you just don't realize it. Maybe he got tired of getting nowhere in his campaign against nameless guest postings and figured if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Kev's fine!
I just spoke to his sweetie, and his computer has been down, but is being repaired. HOWEVER! Notice to all Harlow cater's are the surrounding countryside... his cat is missing, so help him find the puss! And everyone else send your best wishes for a return home of the putty!
Cheers (and to you Kev when your back on line)

Hullo there everyone. Computer back hime once more - though it'll have to go back again tmorrow because it's still playing up. More important, our cat Timothy has turned up. He'd been kipping in a storeroom - and I'd already looked there too. Panic over.

Anyway, it's reassuring to know that, if I ever go missing myself, International Mudcat Rescue will swing promptly into action. (And that invisible GUEST wasn't me, incidentally.)

Guest of 02:02 PM,

If you want to welcome McGrath back, please give yourself an identity. Otherwise, we can't tell you from all the other nameless guests. Thank you from Guest #666.

That's the way to do it...

A Marxist response appears called for:

Groucho Marx: Hello, I must be going.
I cannot stay, I came to say
I must be going.
I'm glad I came, but just the same,
I must be going.

Margaret Dumont: For my sake, you must stay,
For if you go away,
You'll spoil this party I am throwing.

Groucho Marx: I'll stay a week or two,
I'll stay the summer through,
But I am telling you,
I must be going.

Chorus: Before you go, will you oblige us
And tell us of your deeds so glowing?

Groucho Marx: : I'll do anything you say,
In fact, I'll even stay,
But, I must be going.

Soooo glad Timothy's OK. Feargal does things like that too.
(Oh, and McGrath too, I suppose)

My God - can't you let the old bugger have a good long sh*t in peace, Gareth (or does he owe you money) ?

Kevin was his his usual crochety, old self when we saw him at "The Lion" at Eastwick last Tuesday :-)

Crotchety? That was me being affable. I'll show you crotchety... (But then, am I alone in thinking that Victor Meldrew is pretty goodnatured, considering and generally a good egg, and an excellent role model?)

Every time I see an episode of "One foot in the Grave" I think of you Kevin :-)

Still it must be nice to know that people start getting worried when they haven't heard from you for a few days - I couldn't imagine Patrick (the character played by Angus Deayton in OFITG) getting upset because he hadn't seen Victor for a while.

You ought to be careful though, Kevin, Derek Brown & co had a great weekend celebrating a wake recently - they might be looking forward to having another one !

I'd have thought that have been just the kind of thing to get him really worried. You always like to know where your enemies are. (The joke, of course, was that Patrick and Victor were essentially very similar, though at different ages, which is why they loathed each other.)
