HOMES FIT FOR HEROES
They died in their millions, your men at The Somme
Here's your home fit for heroes,
For heat and light and comfort, security and health
Our husband died for freedom, a fine worthy cause
Where are your share options and your directorships?
It's just your misfortune that your husband can't provide Recorded, beautifully, by Cockersdale on "Wide Open Skies"

My dad quit school at 14 to support the whole family. Luckily they had a fish boat and a big garden. I am the first in my family to earn a university degree. It takes generations to recover from the poverty. Its been a long struggle. I still bear the scars and suffer daily when I know that war is waged by profiteers at the expense of honest, hard working people. Thanks for the lyrics. Wish I could hear the song. d |
