WHISKY WINE(Eric Bogle) A sodden bag of dirty rags at the gutter-side I lie Chorus: For twenty years in countless bars, ye've kept me frae despair Ye'll see me in a thousand bars, or lyin' in the street
--- I met an old down-and-out in Glasgow once. He was an Irishman who conned half-a-crown of me for a 'wee drop of whisky-wine'. Unusual to call it that and the phrase stuck, this song is the result. Written in June 1972. Eric. ---
I've collected most of the lyrics I've posted here during the past months. These lyrics, along with the .RA audioclips, are available at http://geocities.com/Nashville/Opry/7424 Ezio |

However, when I try to play your Real-audio clips, I get a message from Netscape that I need a plug-in. When I get to the plug-in page, they say they have no plug-in listed for "audio/x-realaudio" I do have a Real Audio plug-in that works fine on most any other Real Audio site. Any ideas what my problem is and/or how I can access your Real Audio files? Thanks in advance. Roger in Baltimore |
