From: GUEST,Jody Conrad Hi all, While visiting Frieburg, Germany last week, I had the opportunity to watch a couple of street performers there while enjoying my bratwurst. One of them was playing a drum like I have never seen. It was a metal (steel) conical drum held on the lap. It looked like a flying saucer with various sized dimples along it's edge. Striking each dimple produced a different tone, sounding just like a collection of steele drums from the south. The language barrier prevented me from finding out more...anyone know more about this drum this guy called the "Dream Drum"? Thanks for any help. |
