Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, you got one thing right.Contrary to popular belief - put around by guitar players I believe - singers do not stick their fingers in their ears.People who listen to them might. The idea is you cup your ear a la Ewan Macoll, this gives you a very primative monitor/ sounding board that actually works and hopefully keeps you in tune/ key.

Oooooohhhhh, so that's why they do it, i just thought they where trying to remove sufficient ear wax to hear themselves properly! Silly me!

Oh, and thanks for keeping me informed Bob. How do you know i won't be attempting to stay on a horse that sunday, eh?

Mick

I may not make it this time around - my missus goes into hospital for an operation on the Friday so it depends on whether she is out again by then and how much looking after she needs etc

Before any picky person says it - and there is always one -, it should read "qualities I have long admired"

I suspect I may not be in attendance, Michael. If you see somebody that looks a bit like me, ignore him, he's an imposter. He's becoming the bane of my life, that fella.

The session was great. We were small in number but fantastic in quality and form!!! A few civilians came in and throughly enjoyed the afternoon - a few converts there I reckon.

Thanks to all who showed, linda, Oombanjo, Hazell,Sir Roger and his mates who I always forget the names of, Bassic and Rock Chick - who persevered with a splintered bridge on her guitar - Carl, Merry and Pip, Marie and Paddy,Richard for his sterling work on the fiddle.Apologies to all those I have forgot the names of but thanks for coming and more importantly contributing.
