The only people I have heard singing this version were my grandfather and a singer from West Limerick called Tom Greaney. The 1st verse is as follows: O her father had riches galore. In cattle and corn and wealth. Broad lands by the wide Avonmore. While I had but youth and good health. For she's the fair maid I adore and her fond love she's plighted to me without riches or bright golden store. Is ar Eireann ni neosfainn ce hi There are at least two more verses. Can anybodt help? |
