Anyone have any idea who first did or originated 20/20 vision, an old blues song ? I believe it is circa 1930's, prob southern, def not Chicago, maybe delta or Texas? thanks, unc bill.

Would you happen to be able to post the lyrics? We don't seem to have them here. With them, we might be able to find some phrase to use as a search string. You might imagine the difficulty in using the title alone. Thanks.

Is the song you'r asking for:

"I've been to the doctor, he says I'm alright
I know that he's lying, I'm losing my sight
He should have examined the eyes of my mind
20/20 vision and walking around blind."

20-20 VISION
Recorded by: Jimmy Martin
Written by: Joe Allison & Milton Estes

I've been to the doctor, he said I'm alright
I know he's lying, I'm losing my sight
He should have examined the eyes of my mind
20-20 VISION and walking 'round blind

Since she's gone and left me, I feel so alone
I carry a heart that is heavy as stone
I knew that she cheated, I knew all the time
20-20 VISION and walking 'round blind

With my eyes wide open,I lay on my bed
If it wasn't for dyin', I wish I was dead
But this is my punishment, death is too kind
20-20 VISION and walking 'round blind

You just didn't know her the way that I do
You say that she's wicked and maybe it's true
But one thing I do know, she's no longer mine
20-20 VISION and walking 'round blind

I've lost her, I've lost her, oh what will I do
I bet you're not happy if she's there with you
The eyes of your heart will have trouble like mine
20-20 VISION and walking 'round blind

I found this on Spotify:

20:20 VISION
As sung by Rory Gallagher on "Tattoo"

People talk about her like she was a diamond on the shelf (2x)
Well, I got twenty-twenty vision; I can see that for myself.

I got a high-steppin' baby; you know, she's really 'bout as good as gold. (2x)
She can make my grandpa feel like he's six years old.

I got twenty-twenty vision and that's all I need,
Enough to keep my baby here by me.

You know, my little baby, she buzz somethin' like a bumblebee. (2x)
And I won't complain if she comes 'round here and stings me.
Sting me!

I got twenty-twenty vision and that's all I need,
Enough to give my baby the company.

You know, my little baby, I'd recognize her anywhere.
If I seen her in a crowd, I'd recognize her anywhere.
She can even make my grandpa get up out o' his wheelchair.

All the boys hang around her, but she says she don't love no one else. (2x)
Well, I got twenty-twenty vision; I can see that for myself.
