Singing in Lymm, Cheshire, Wednesday

All are welcome to the 'Song in the Snug' at the Railway in Heatley near Lymm, Cheshire on Wednesday evening. The company is good, the singing better (if I'm not there!), the beer is superb.

The singing (and music) is strongly biased towards traditional, but that ain't compulsory.

JJ you forgot to mention how good the crisps are as well! or didn't you get any?

Anyway it was a very good night last night with a surprise visit from five-sixths of Navy Cut. Some very good singing all round, as well as a good instrumental session during the interval.

I should mention the the 'Songs in the Snug' is held on the second and fourth Wednesdays in each month, starting at 8:30pm, which means that the next ones should be:-

10 March 2004
24 March 2004
14 April 2004
28 April 2004 ...

What crisps? I didn't see any crisps. I like crisps too, especially Seagrove's Cheese & Onion.

It was a really excellent evening and I can't wait for the next one!

John J? Still wearing clogs & playing a squeezebox? Is that the right one?
I'll try to get to Lymm one of these next weeks, might even sing a medley of my hit.(The one about the dinghy)

Yes, Matthew & JJ, it was a very enjoyable evening - but what happened to the crisps? I didn't get any!
... so let us list and march, I say!"

Alan you should have said--Helen had pockets full of crisps and sneaked them out when she left!

It was indeed a good evening and a pleasure to hear some really lovely songs and music from everyone who came along.

Aaaaaah.... missed it! Apologies from the sixth member of Navy Cut- I had a good reason for absence though, as I have my leg up after a recent operation. And I have been to the Snug before, though not for a while- so the whole of Navy Cut has now sung for you.

It's a bit far to travel from Stourport-on-Severn for an evening, unfortunately :0/

Oh- and two of the people present that evening have just announced their engagement!

Hi Noreen! Hope your leg gets better soon, and you can hop up to Lymm again one of these days. Stourport sounds like a nice part of the world.

An engagement! Did I miss something while munching on the cheese-n-onion? Who is it? Do tell!! Shhh! I promise not to tell anybody else...

John J-Maybe you aren't the person I was thinking of.
However, I'm an old Malt-Shoveller(Very old now!) It must be 15 yrs since I aired my tonsils in public. I really will look you up soon, There is almost bound to be someone at Lymm that I know.
