OJ is Orville Johnson http://www.mongrelfolk.com/orville.html a player who has been feature in Acoustic Guitar magazine's (now discontinued) CD/instructional book series. I'd actually rather hear Orville play than Miller. OJ's cut from the aforementioned CD absolutely "stole the show" --by far the best thing on it. |

I didn't really think of what I was posting as spam tho I guess, technically, it is. I was just telling everybody on all the music sites I visit about a great CD by my friend John that you can only get thru him and I think he's a very underknown (is that a word?) player that is much deserving of wider recognition and I don't think he would put a post up like this for himself so I took it upon myself to do so. Thanx for enjoying my piece on the Acoustic Guitar mag disc, John. Coincidentally, the one I think you're referring to (Mardi March, originally released on my own Slide & Joy CD) was, tho perfomed by me, written by John Miller...OrvilleJ |

And no, John is not the type to blow his own horn...even though he would probably do it quite well. I doubt he'll remember me from PSGW in 1989, but please say hello anyway if you get the chance.
