29 Feb 04 - 11:22 AM (#1126187) Subject: Skipjack celebrates 1st March From: Eric the Viking Much to the dismay of the Welsh peoples, they share their day with the birth of Skipjack. So. To the "Oil Barron of Humberside". His Lardship. Skipjack, oil of Ulay. Happy Birthday greetings. There is a new family crest devised which is to be lodged at the Heraldic centre for the vasselines of Great Britain. It is two crosssed chips in a vat of fat. Have a great day. Love n peace. your pet, r o'leum.(Irish) |

Oh, (sobs quietly in the background)woe unto the house of Lackford. It isn't unlucky for me, it might be unlucky for him being wished an advance happy birthday by a figment of his imagination. An introduction to the English language. By; Afig Ment.
Cor blimey-roughly translated means "God blind me" sort of the equivalent of "Gott in Himmel". That clears that up. 'Appy birthday me old mucker, me old mate skipjack-for the second time from your little figment.('ope it ain't too unlucky) |

01 Mar 04 - 05:56 AM (#1126792) Subject: RE: Skipjack celebrates 1st March From: Skipjack K8 Thank you Eric, Erik and all. That's it, half way to 90, and a sneaking suspicion that they are the best 45 years. To use an Australian term, Ms Baggins, I feel absolutely ripper. Bit of light excercise, eat and drink in reasonable moderation, bingeing occasionally, good balance between work and play, and leaving rest til the grave, or at best til exhaustion, many and varied interests, but never playing golf, seems to be an agreeable way to shuffle through life for me.
