But H/M/W will always be special to me, and I hope my new friends will allow me this little indulgence towards the old ones. Well, the 3-year old ones! Come and see me round the back, Mike...;-) |

19 Mar 04 - 08:08 PM (#1141363) Subject: RE: El Greko 4th CD launch: 'Life As Usual' From: George Papavgeris And I am raising my glass to you, Anahata & Mary. THANKS! I'm in 7th heaven, I'll talk crap. But it was great. We stopped counting heads at 70. At least 20 standing. Nobody left before the end. We cleared a shitload of CDs. But most important, people's goodwill was palpable, and I like to think they were having a good time. Magic moments: Seeing a Scottish family of friends come in that we hadn;t seen for 4 years and had lost their tracks. Having the 25-year old boyfriend of the above family's youngest daughter (herself a mean singer, and he plays in her band - they "did" the Troubadour last week and sang with Westlife) enthuse about the songs and wanting to sing 2 of them... But most of all - while singing the encore (the planned finishing song for the 5th album), hearing the whole room take up the refrain "with my heart your music play - at the ending of the day". I just stopped playing the guitar - the room had the word... Thanks to Mary, Anahata, Johnny, Graeme, Chris, BREEZY and all that came, and all that sent their wishes. The 19th March was indeed a special day for me. |

M1 totally *****ed - closed off in at least three spots and I didn't even get halfway down towards Snorbens.
