07 Mar 04 - 05:47 PM (#1131171) Subject: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Joybell We have laugh tracks on funny TV shows. (##@**%) Why are those of us who enjoy a good cry deprived of SOB tracks, so that we can cry in company? You could have audience members interjecting with cries of, "Oh! No! How awful!" For that matter where are the GASP! tracks for thrillers? Seems there is a niche market here. Just wondering, Joy |

From: Peace And GROAN tracks (you filthy-minded people can stay away from that one) for those darn comedy shows like Friends and Real TV and those friggin' desert island Who Will Get Kicked Off Next programs. (I'm just riding along here. I don't have a TV. |

07 Mar 04 - 06:07 PM (#1131180) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Nerd And, of course, grunt tracks for when someone gits kicked in the nuts. I think this is the best idea since the sitcom, Joybell! |

07 Mar 04 - 06:48 PM (#1131218) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Peace And SNOT tracks. Ever notice that movies never have someone with a cold suckin' the snot back? They always have tissues (like real people don't use their sleeves when no one's lookin' (the inside, we're not disgusting)). Joybell, Nerd's right. This is a thought sparked by true genius. Count me in. |

07 Mar 04 - 06:50 PM (#1131219) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Joybell Well that's very true. Still, I think full-on sobbing and other sounds of anguish, as intrusive as the laughing on the laugh tracks, is the go. And blow-up dolls? Why not! Joy |

07 Mar 04 - 07:05 PM (#1131234) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Little Hawk I think sob tracks and grunt tracks are a great idea! Let's make TV even more stupid than it already is. It might boost the ratings. :-) Hiss and boo tracks could be cool too. If Spaw was posting, he'd recommend fart tracks. - LH |

07 Mar 04 - 07:12 PM (#1131240) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Peace The theatre of the absurd. What a contest. How to make TV stupider than it already is. Regarding the fart tracks: we could have real ones and also the kind people do by putting a hand in the armpit and swingin' the arm down. A kinda B movie sound track for producers on a limited budget. |

07 Mar 04 - 07:54 PM (#1131278) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Joybell I like Fart tracks! Didn't Elizabethan plays have stage directions for farts? Don't see why the audience shouldn't join in. Good enough for Shakespeare, good enough for TV! |

07 Mar 04 - 09:04 PM (#1131309) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Little Hawk It's a flaming good idea. I'm gonna call up William Shatner about this right away. |

08 Mar 04 - 04:52 PM (#1131736) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Joybell Oh! YES! Then we could have William Shatner meaningful silence tracks! I'd like that a lot. Joy |

09 Mar 04 - 12:19 AM (#1131986) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: GUEST,leeneia What about tracks of pregnant pauses and stunned silence? They would be cheap to produce, so the return on investment would be maximized. |

09 Mar 04 - 12:20 AM (#1131988) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: Peace But who would get the pauses, you know? |

09 Mar 04 - 04:31 PM (#1132413) Subject: RE: BS: Why not sob tracks? From: GUEST,MMario I'm confused. Why should SOB's get their own tracks? There are enough SOB's involved in sports now as it is. "Sprortsmanship" as a value seems to have gone by the board. |
