08 Mar 04 - 09:55 AM (#1131396) Subject: Irish/Afro/Scot in US Civil War CD From: JedMarum I put together a collection of songs for the Civil War music shows I've been touring this Winter/Spring. I hadn't intended the CD for general release, but it's done so well that I have decided to make it more generally available. I've sent it out to a few folk DJs and put it up on CDBaby. The link is here and there is more info and sound files available at that link, too. The album is a collection of songs/stories from the experience of Irish and Scottish immigrants and African Americans during the era of the US Civil War. You'll know some of the songs, and others are new. I am about to build a webpage with the details for the album's track list. I'll post the link in a subsequent message. |
