Songs that work well unintentionally

The "worst songs" thread got me to thinking about the theme from Batman. But the more I thought about that song (to which, I'm proud to say, I know ALL the words), the more I got to thinking: you know, the Batman theme is supposed to be campy, but it WORKS for me.

I've heard that "Suicide" from MASH was supposed to be comically bad as well...something about asking someone's teenage son to write some deliberately amateurish lyrics? (can anyone confirm?)

Can anyone else come up with examples of songs that work despite their author's intentions to dash off a wee bit of tripe?

Hmmm... lots of examples of the other way round, certainly...

The theme from Mash was about the resident dentist who was nicknamed
' Painless ' so I think it was deliberate and not 'knocked up '
by some kid.

Steve Goodman/John Prine's attempt at the perfect country song:

I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison (last Christmas) etc.

Wasn't "Sonny Boy" written as a joke?

I've heard that some of the songs from "A Mighty Wind" have been getting some radio play lately.
