16 Mar 04 - 08:57 AM (#1138004) Subject: Billy Williams on BBC Radio 4 From: Kevin Sheils Whilst pottering around the house with BBC Radio 4 on in the background but not really paying attention I suddenly realised that something sounded familiar. It was an old song which Cosmeotheka sang "Kangaroo Hop". I'd just caught the end of a half hour programme presented by John Peel on the music of Billy Williams called "The Man in the Velvet Suit", quite a few of whose songs were sung by Cosmotheka. The good news is it's still on the BBC web site "listen again" page here aand will probably be there for about a week. |

John Peel said his laugh was natural, but I wouldnt have liked to listen to it time and time again. The recordings were pretty clean for their time. |

But then again I guess Radio 4 is an informative rather than a music station. |
