|
22 Mar 04 - 02:19 PM (#1143146) Subject: RE: Whitby.... From: alanww Yes, Whitby is a great venue for singing and music! The fringe is particularly good, with many great pubs with singing and music sessions. I will be freewheeling at Whitby Folk Week between 21 & 27 August and will be singing for the Shellback Chorus at the Captain Cook Shanty Festival on 22-24 October. But unfortunately cannot make the Moor & Coast, as it clashes with Upton Folk Festival (again with the Shellbacks). "I thought I heard the old man say ...!" Alan |

23 Mar 04 - 12:48 PM (#1143967) Subject: RE: Whitby.... From: alanww But then again, maybe that is not the right festival! You have got me concerned now, Jane. The official website seems to be two years old! I'll have another search tomorrow to see if it is confirmed anywhere, but I've got to go now. "... and its mighty draughty around Cape Horn! Alan |

23 Mar 04 - 01:19 PM (#1144007) Subject: RE: Whitby.... From: Mrs.Duck Last year the musicport festival and captain cooks were on different weekends and one clashed with the Goths! There was a lot of confusion and some folk just turned up on the wrong weekend. |

|
23 Mar 04 - 02:15 PM (#1144057) Subject: RE: Whitby.... From: Mrs.Duck I thought the Endeavour had stopped doing accomodation or is this just a friendly arrangement? I only ask because we have stayed in the past and would do so again if they were doing it (not at Moor and Coast though) |

23 Mar 04 - 02:49 PM (#1144099) Subject: RE: Whitby.... From: Alio It's just a friendly thing! We're very lucky that we can stay there. Rosie was just finding it too much - who can blame her? It's my favourite place to stay in Whitby. |
