From: Amos I know we've had an earlier thread on these cephalopods but they have been causing all kinds of distress off the coast of Chile - at least to the hake. And upsetting the local fishermen, too! All is revealed in this story. Enjoy! A |

Giant Squids, indeed! The ones mentioned are hardly more than 3 meters long, much smaller than the ones that triggered our old thread. Thanks for the link, Amos! Cheerily, Charley Noble |

26 Mar 04 - 04:27 AM (#1146471) Subject: RE: BS: Invasion of the Giant Squid! From: Shanghaiceltic Just got back from a trip to Korea where I ate a nice local delicacy. We were served up with a dish of still wriggling squid/octopus tentacles. Dash of chilli and some garlic added. A sod to pick up with metal chopsticks and the suckers still stuck to the plate as well as the palate when you popped them into yer mouth. The guy who owned the place saw our difficulties and added a dash of sesame oil which stopped the suckers sticking! Maybe the Koreans would appreciate this invasion. |
