My daughter used to live in Boscombe. (She married a Britisher.) I visited them two years ago last November. There was a club called Folk Express that operated in The Portman. It was cozy, with a small audience. I don't know if it's still there. My daughter moved to Southbourne last Christmas.

I have a vague feeling this should come under the thread "Blatant self aggrandisement" - could it be that someone not a million miles away from you, Breezy, just might be appearing at Boscombe on 2nd May?

Vin Garbutt is listed for May 2. I alerted my daughter. It seems the club is now called Shenanigan's or facsimile. Other people whose names I don't recognize are listed for other dates. (Vin's played in Calgary many times, which is how I know of him.)

Thats tempting, its on the way home from Padstow.
I cant wait till he comes to my club in may 2005 20th St Albans.
I believe he's singing a George Papavgeris song these days 'Flowers and the Guns'
