I hear you have volunteered, Breezy, to get there early and light that wood stove. Does that mean I don't have to bring a blanket and flask of tea?

This is one of those times when I wonder why I live in Germany. Paul Downes is very, very good. The duo act he played with Phil Beer was my favourite folk club act ever. But he's pretty good on his own too. What a wonderful guitarist!

Friends, fun, flaming fires and first rate ferformances from fabulous folkies (and, of course, Breezy but you can't have everything)

Looking forward to tonight - bag's a seat near the stove

Is he selling raffle tickets for a chance of getting a slice of birthday cake? Ya gotta be there to find out.

Isnt he -Downes- underated?

Tonight I thought him to be one of the best.
A great show.

But then everyone shines at the 'Windward' cos we are so friendly and warm, especially near the fire.
