27 Mar 04 - 11:17 PM (#1147956) Subject: BS: The Affair From: Strick Who is Michael Bergin and what is he doing claiming to have an affair with Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, JFK Jr's wife? Even if it's true why should anyone want publicize the affair given the inevitable hurt it's going to cause their families? It's not even that this involves the Kennedies. Why should anyone have to go through this? I guess if he had waited a much longer period before publishing a book (it's been 5 years) about this I wouldn't be so peeved. As it is it's in the poorest possible taste. I know this is not all that unusual anymore. What's wrong with the world? I really don't need to know every detail of every celebrity's personal life. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman never once called and asked for the details of my divorce. Why should people be so interested in publishing the details of theirs? |

28 Mar 04 - 12:54 PM (#1148270) Subject: RE: BS: The Affair From: Stilly River Sage While people are busy arguing about the merit (or lack of same) of this story, this guy sells a book or goes on talk shows and gets his 15-minutes of fame. No one is here to sue him, because the interested parties are dead. It's a pretty sorry way to grab attenion, and will hurt people in the process. Without having read anything about him at all, my gut reaction is the say he's a sleezeball. If you really loved someone you don't drag their name into the mud after their death, trying to borrow a few plumes. SRS |

29 Mar 04 - 03:18 PM (#1149280) Subject: RE: BS: The Affair From: GUEST,Weekly Nose I was googling for a story and found this thread -- and what I have to say is news, news, news. Amos, your own Amos, has been photographed in a love nest with Osama Bin Ladin and Saddam Huessein! It's a menage a trios, with Osama repeatedly slapping Amos with his hanky after Amos revealed that Saddam had been carrying on with Hillary al fresco after midnight lesbian swim off the Clintons' home in The Hamptons! Osama simply couldn't understand why the Pope's face had appeared in the smoke from Saddam's cigar after Amos lit it and lovingly placed it in Saddam's lips. Jealousy, jealousy, jealousy, our sources say! Paris Hilton made a pass at Nicole Kidman while Johnny Depp was whispering sweet nothings in Amos' ear, and Saddam, tempermental as always, actually bit Mike Tyson on the ear at the same time! |

30 Mar 04 - 01:17 PM (#1150192) Subject: RE: BS: The Affair From: Stilly River Sage I stumbled onto another bit of an interview with this guy, and before I changed the channel he was wiping his eyes and telling us about her unwanted pregnancy (by him) in the early 1990s. "She just wasn't ready for motherhood," he moaned. If he had loved this woman he wouldn't be trotting out all of this painful, personal, and unprovable stuff now. He's so transparently a gold digger. |
