Greg Stephens in Hull on Thursday.

30 Mar 04 - 10:40 AM (#1150025)
Subject: Greg Stephens in Hull on Thursday.
From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull

Greg will be at Hull Folk Club,
The Marlborough Club, Newstead Street, Chanterlands Ave, Hull
on Thursday, starts around 9.
It's a singers/musicians night, others going include Bassic, El Ted, Les from Hull, s6k, sweetfire etc etc.
Greg is travelling from far away, so lets see a good turnout.

also, can any local mudcatters offer Greg a bed, or floorspace for thursday night?

not sure if Narho is going, not seen him for ages.

Lets see a good turnout for this, entry is free, and we have use of a good concert room, be nice to see a few of the Beverley and Barton people there, [Sir Roger, Deanmister, Skipjack, Bloke, Karen n Colin, Oaklet etc].

s6k- re the currys, i could have easily have sorted some free food out, but i did not want to interrupt the music!
next time = remind me, and tell me what curry you want, ie lamb, beef or chiken [no pork, as my boss is a muslim, and they dont' eat pork].

thanks, to ebertytyone that went and sing and played tunes etc, it was really nice.john

ps=next time, i might make some jacket potaoes, [every body likes them, and easy to cook, [just throw them in the oven!]

or sandwidges, [cheese, or tuna etc]

thanks for going every body, it was really nice.john

Smashing night, thanks to all the Hullites who came to the Marlborough, and partied afterwards. I'm a bit confused by all these people who have different names in the flesh from when they are on Mudcat. And special thanks to Mick and Mary for the hospitality!
Anyway, wonderful to meet you all and hear such a great variety of music.
Kate sends her love too. Rory McLeod has sstaied on in Hull, he liked it so much. He's gone to visit Nahro. I've cme hpme.

Thank you, Les from Hull. Only on Mudcat could a post like mine have been answered so accurately and wittily. I will be be your straight man any time....though I fear the audience for our cross-talk act could be a bit specialist.
