03 Apr 04 - 03:05 PM (#1153695) Subject: Calif Irish band 'Molly's Revenge': Wow! From: Mark Cohen I went to a dazzling performance last night by a band from Santa Cruz called Molly's Revenge. They've been playing in Maui for the past week (their new guitarist used to live there), and came over to Oahu for this weekend's Hawaii Scottish Festival, at which our band will be playing as well. Fortunately, we go on before them! Their whistle/pipe player, David Brewer, is phenomenal--and he's only 24 years old! I highly recommend buying their CD's, but seeing them in person is a treat. (And you can do that next month if you're going to be in Shanghai!) Aloha, Mark |
